"I think… it’s the curse. It is coming to the end. The holes will become bigger… your mane will wither. Eventually, you will die. And the curse will search for another host. Until somepony break it." (the court doctor)
This is an idea, which just came into my mind and became part of my story about Chrysalis.
I thought always, that the changelings are cursed and for the more drama, a story was born about it too.
"The curse of the changelings is in the books as the "Curse of Scorn". Once upon a time, there was a royal couple. Queen Scorn and King Shatter. Shatter lost his interest in his queen, and he became obsessed with creating a perfect army. Every single soldier a perfect warrior, merciless and loyal to him. There was a rumor, that he eventualy stole the souls of his soldiers and bound them to his will. Queen Scorn however was not concerned about the ponies, but the lost interest of his king. With the help of his loyal knight, she organized an army and challenged her husband. When she was about to lose, her rage errupted and created a curse. Her husband and his army was turned into monsters, who can’t feel and can’t live without stolen lifeforce. As Shatter attacked his wife to reverse the curse, Scorn accidentaly killed him. But the curse became sensible and somehow… alive. The curse found it’s new host in the person of it’s creator, the queen. Scorn saw a weapon in it, to erase the wrongs of her husband, but evetually, she became corrupted by the curse and the life she was forced to live because of it. The last known data is, that her loyal knight followed his queen into exile, and when the queen died a natural death, the curse found the knight as the third host."
Aand… this is some devil-circle. The host eventually die because the curse eat him/her. But no matter if the death is natural or not, the curse will search another host, until it is broken.
So Chryssi will have her trouble… because the curse is coming to the end for her. And she don’t want to go down silently. But it will make her change a bit. ^^
